elephant god; Ankusha, also Aṅkuśa or Ankusa (Sanskrit: अंकुश) is an elephant hook or elephant goad, a tool used by elephant handlers (mahouts) to guide and train elephants.
It is made of a small wooden handle topped by a strong and sharp metal hook used to control the elephant and teach it certain behaviors.
